Fireclay’s Debris Series and Vitrail product qualify for and may contribute to the following LEED Credits:
- Debris Series Recycled Ceramic Tile: Fireclay Tile’s Debris Series tile is made with recycled materials found in the San Francisco Bay Area. 25% of the tile body is made up of post-consumer waste glass and post-consumer spent abrasive particles. 37% is pre-consumer granite dust from local gravel and quarry operations. The remaining 38% is local clay from the Sierra Foothills. 100% of Debris Series labor and manufacturing is in Northern California. Debris Series tile has no chemicals or off-gassing. It is a fired ceramic product that is made to last 100+ years.
- Vitrail Series Handmade Ceramic Tile: Fireclay Tile’s Vitrail Series is made in the Northern California Area from natural clay materials. There is no recycled content in the product, and the product contains no chemicals or off-gases.
- MR Credit 4.1 and 4.2: Recycled Content
Fireclay’s Debris Series contains over 60% recycled materials (25% post-consumer waste and 37% pre-consumer waste) and can contribute to MR Credit 4.1 and 4.2 depending on the sum of recycled materials in the project.
MR Credit 5.1 and 5.2: Manufactured Regionally
Fireclay’s Debris and Vitrail products are manufactured in Aromas, California (95004).
For projects within a 500 mile radius of our manufacturing facility, Fireclay’s products can contribute to MR Credit 5.1 and 5.2, depending on the combined value and percentage of construction materials and product manufactured regionally within the required radius.
All of our products emit low or no VOCs.
