Patine is a new sub-series of the Vitrail series. It is Vitrail tile with brown or black oxides rubbed into the crazing. Sometimes the oxide stain does not penetrate all crazing areas. The tile will continue to craze after the oxide stain has been applied. At the customer's request we will supply a touch up kit to fill the continue crazing.

ThePatine series tile are suitable for wall, floor and kitchen/bath counter use. Due to the highly crackled nature of the Vitrail series glazes, the tiles are sealed at the factory with Silox 220. We recommend that Silox 8 or Silox 220, made by Ceramaseal, be applied every 6 months for the first year and annually thereafter. Coffee, juices and other spilled liquids may stain the tile if unsealed.

Variation in color is an inherent quality of the Vitrail series, and in turn, the Patine series. Colors vary on each individual tile and from tile to tile in the same production batch, creating a beautiful blend of color in any installation.
